Andrew Booth is a university-educated (BMus) guitarist with over seven

years of teaching experience and more than double that in performance experience. He offers guitar lessons and music theory lessons in a variety of styles on classical guitar, electric guitar and acoustic guitar. Andrew delivers a conservatory-style music education with modern methods.

As a classically-trained musician who has played guitar in rock and metal bands for over a decade, Andrew has a unique perspective on guitar education. Students learn proper music literacy and technique while simultaneously developing the skills necessary to play in a band and create their own sound on the guitar - in any genre.

Weekly Lessons

Weekly lessons provide the student with Andrew’s committed guidance and support week after week. Andrew works with each weekly student to determine their goals and creates custom lesson plans to help them achieve said goals. In addition to lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs, Andrew holds students accountable with clear, weekly practice assignments and follow-ups during each subsequent lesson to ensure that the student makes meaningful progress. Weekly students have an assigned day and time that is reserved for them each week.

Weekly lessons are billed on a monthly basis, due on the first of each month. Each payment includes all lessons to be taken that month. This equates to four or five lessons per invoice, depending on how many lesson days there are in a given month.

Student Testimonials

Thank you for teaching me and helping me master the art like you one
day. I’ve loved how you could relate to me on so many levels and
approach each class differently and uniquely. Our lessons are unlike
all the others since the dynamic matches a normal conversation. The
reason that I come back each week is because it does not feel like a
chore and I get to do what I love. Honestly, I didn’t have a fraction
of the passion for music I do today when I started. However, our
guitar lessons helped me see that music was where my heart was. After
so long, I believe I still have that same fire for guitar that was lit
all those years ago, and I know for a fact that’s no coincidence. Of
course, the songs we practice now are far more complex, but that
process feels just as fresh and simple as ever. I continue to look
forward to every lesson because I know I’ll come away with something
that will change my life. Andrew, thank you for your time and
commitment throughout the years.
I have had the privilege of being a student of Andrew for years, and I can confidently say that it has been an enriching experience. Not only is Andrew an exceptional guitar instructor, but he’s also a pivotal figure in our local music scene as the guitarist for my favorite band.

What truly sets Andrew apart is his unwavering dedication to his students’ success. He goes above and beyond to ensure that each lesson
is engaging, informative, and tailored to my goals. Whether I’m struggling with a new song and techniques or seeking guidance on what
to listen to grow. He always provides clear explanations and constructive feedback that propel my growth as a musician.
Andrew offers a safe, comfortable and judgement free space where you can improve on your musical skills. he’ll help you hone and improve on the ones you need to play music you’re interested in.
